Christ has it Sorted! Christ a fait le Nécessaire !

Thursday 23rd February

It is so easy to 'Go with the Flow'!  Even Peter tried to please everyone by avoiding those embarrassing situations which might arise when eating with Gentiles in traditional Jewish company! It took Paul to challenge him !
What was Christ's Good News? How does it challenge our everyday lives in unexpected, and sometimes uncomfortable, ways! How does it affect our social interactions . . . our relationships with friends and family . . . ?
Paul reminds us that just following the Rule-book of The Law is Not what it's all about . . . Christ's way of Love brings new freedom to all, and fellowship with all.  It is belief in Him that brings us His Grace ~ a new way of life, ~ the new life of Jesus living in us.
He wouldn't have had to die at all, on our behalf, if we only had to go on in the same old way, trying our best, time and time again failing  to live up to the demands of the old laws. But now that Jesus has died then risen again we are all, together, His Family !  We share that new life, that wonderful freedom, enjoying our Church, our meals, our relationships, our families, TOGETHER !  Because we know Jesus as our friend and our brother.  AMEN TO THAT!
