Friday 8th December
Psalm 25 Isaiah 29.1-14 Revelation 21.22-22.5 Matthew 13.24-43
Psaumes 25 Esaie 29.1-14 Apocalypse 21.22-22.5 Matthieu 13.24-43
Vs. 1-2: Lord, help us to restore our souls through your truth and by trusting in you only. Help us to love our enemies because they often communicate to us that feedback which would help us grow in you.
Vs. 3: Let your word live within us and transform us. Show us the meanings of the Bible verses
in your unique way.
Vs. 4: When we fall short of the right way to behave and to be, show us by your small voice (or by speaking with others) proper conduct in your Kingdom.
Vs. 5: We all need a teacher sometimes. Help us learn the patience to hear and understand the lesson.
Vs. 6-8: We are never too old (or too young) to remember your compassion – help us mirror that in our daily lives towards other people.
Vs.9-13: Help us to be yielding enough to practise your truth in speech and in silence and in actions when necessary and by calmness.
Vs. 14-22 When troubles come, as they do (homelessness, unemployment, illness, poverty, political unrest, tough choices, etc.), and our hearts cry out for guidance, help us to be strong enough to rely on you and with a quiet and peaceful spirit.
Remind us always of the path of integrity and uprightness, so when we sleep or rest, it’s with hearts at peace with you.
