Signs of the times

Our faith in the Risen Jesus Christ must remain firm and permanent and accompany us in our life on earth and beyond until the day of judgment for all of us, the day when the living and the dead will be judged for their deeds and words. At that right moment, the gates of Heaven will open and according to the scriptures, those who have already died will be welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven first. These blessed will go to heaven before us, this is to be considered that they have this favour over us contrary to what people may believe.

In the same vein, what is happening in this world today challenges us and warns us. Indeed, fratricidal wars here and there, epidemics of all kinds, natural disasters following climate change etc. are signs of the times; we should prepare ourselves to stay in good relationship with our Creator. We should therefore strive to remain faithful to the commandments of God so that those among us who are currently losing their lives as a result of these contemporary misfortunes may be welcomed first into the Kingdom of Heaven.
