I guess I'm not alone in feeling a bit depressed at
the news over the last few months... ! I read this on a day when I was feeling
particularly low and wondering what the next months or years will bring, and
what kind of world my children will inherit. And also how someone like me can
try to keep God's values alive at a time when many nations are closing their
doors to outsiders. And then I read this :-)
The psalmist reminds us that God is still in
control, and that his power and forgiveness are limitless. He also reminds us
that we are not blameless ourselves and must turn to God forgiveness. God's way
is the only way forward and the only answer for this world's problems.
4 Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Saviour,
and my hope is in you all day long.
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Saviour,
and my hope is in you all day long.
