Suggestion for Daily Use

Follow the ‘Daily Prayer’ at the side+++Suivez le ‘Prière Quotidienne’. Read the bible passages and then the meditation. Pray, tell God how you felt about the reading and share the concerns of your life with him. Maybe you will continue the habit after Lent. Lisez les passages bible et après la méditation. Priez, dites à Dieu que vous avez ressenti à propos de la lecture et de partager les préoccupations de votre vie avec lui. Peut-être que vous allez continuer l'habitude après le Carême. No hypocrite


 Matthew 23.1-12   Matthieu 23.1-12

"The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."


After his rage against the hypocrisy of the pharisees - of not practising what they preach - we know how Jesus fulfils the very qualities he then exhorts, thereby categorically distinguishing himself from their hypocrisy. We do not follow a hypocrite. Jesus not only said ‘Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends’ (John 15.13); he also did it.
