When we are disappointed, mocked or betrayed  we felt like given-up everything or  acting back violently; even, we questioned ourselves if God is really up there or if He could see what is happening at that particular time. Then we have forgotten that God has laid down His intentions concerning wickedness.  He promised that the wicked will be severely punished.

God revealed to Jeremiah in 11.18 the plot of the people of Anathoth to take his life,  and  He warned him in 12.6 not to trust his own brothers even though they speak smooth words.  In 11.19 Jeremiah poured  out his mind to God about the people's  devilish behaviour and asked God, why are they continuously prosper? But  God simply in 12.5 answered Jeremiah not to be wearied about them. In another word, saying,  don't be discouraged, don't give-up, just carry on with what you are called to do.

This biblical passage perfectly mashes with us, when we are disappointed and discouraged we should remember the promises of God and carry on.
