Suggestion for Daily Use

Follow the ‘Daily Prayer’ at the side+++Suivez le ‘Prière Quotidienne’. Read the bible passages and then the meditation. Pray, tell God how you felt about the reading and share the concerns of your life with him. Maybe you will continue the habit after Lent. Lisez les passages bible et après la méditation. Priez, dites à Dieu que vous avez ressenti à propos de la lecture et de partager les préoccupations de votre vie avec lui. Peut-être que vous allez continuer l'habitude après le Carême. When this was written, Israel was beset by the aggressive Assyrians intent on expanding their empire. Isaiah, a prince, poet & prophet is advising the King to rely on the power of faith in God to save Israel. In this passage, the Lord is presented as capable of both anger and care. However, ultimately he protects his people. Israel (Zion) is challenged to understand deliverance and to ensure that God is thanked through praise and actions. These thanks are to be general amongst the population. Though Israel, even then (8th century BC), considered itself under constant external pressure, Isaiah exhorts the people to ensure that the message of God’s power be broadcast to the wider world.

Dans ce passage notre Dieu est plein de compassion mais en meme temps un Dieu qui peut-être colère. En fin de compte, on voit qu’il protèger son people. Esaïe nous encourage à partager le pouvoir de Dieu à travers le monde.
