Justice and peace
In
Isaiah we see a picture of a new way of living, where the natural enmities of
life are replaced by mind blowing peace and harmony. Take a moment to
ponder those images and dream of change. This is something for us to look
forward to. Ultimately Jesus will come again in righteousness to judge the
needy with justice and give decisions for the poor of the earth. Some members
of Holy Trinity work in organisations which try to bring some of that justice
and peace now for the poor of the earth. It would be great to pray for them
today and for each of us to grow in trust of the One who came and will come
again. That by the power of the Holy Spirit our hope may overflow to touch the
lives of others.
May
the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that
you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15.13)
Que le Dieu de l’espérance vous
comble de toute joie et de sa paix par votre confiance en lui. Ainsi votre cœur
débordera d’espérance par la puissance du Saint Esprit. (Romains 15.13)
