Suggestion for Daily Use

Follow the ‘Daily Prayer’ at the side+++Suivez le ‘Prière Quotidienne’. Read the bible passages and then the meditation. Pray, tell God how you felt about the reading and share the concerns of your life with him. Maybe you will continue the habit after Lent. Lisez les passages bible et après la méditation. This chapter in Revelations is apparently one of the most controversial chapters in the Bible because an opinion is formed beforehand without adequate evidence.

In verses 1 to 3 the Satan gets locked up for a thousand years. Can you even begin to imagine a life where there is no temptation? Will this be paradise, or will human nature take the upper hand, and will chaos arise?

Do you think you will be chosen to live with Jesus and reign for a thousand years or will you remain dead until judgment day? When the devil is finally let loose again, will you fall to his temptation and end up in the fire? Will your name be in the Book of Life?

This passage seems to be a bit of a grim passage if you don’t get chosen at any point. It also throws up a whole load of questions about your own faith in God. So we need to strive to have a strong faith in Jesus as well as a model life which will withstand the final judgment.

Dit hoofdstuk in Openbaringen is blijkbaar één van de meest controversiële hoofdstukken van de Bijbel, want een mening wordt vooraf gevormd zonder voldoende bewijs.

In verzen 1 tot 3 wordt Satan opgesloten voor duizend jaar. Kan je zelfs een leven voorstellen waar geen verleiding is? Zal dit paradijs zijn of neemt het menselijke aard de bovenhand en zal er chaos ontstaan?

Denk jij dat je gekozen gaat worden om met Jezus samen te leven en voor duizend jaar te regeren of zal je doodblijven het Laatste Oordeel? Wanneer de duivel uiteindelijk verlost wordt, zal jij in zijn verleiding vallen en in het vuur belanden? Gaat jouw naam in het levensboek staan?

Deze passage lijkt een beetje een grimmige passage te zijn als je niet gekozen wordt. Het werpt ook een hele hoop vragen op in verband met je eigen geloof in God. Dus we moeten ernaar streven om een sterk geloof in Jezus te hebben, evenals een modelleven dat bestand is tegen het Laatste Oordeel.
