3 important things in the Christian life

Psalm 40 talks about 3 important things in the Christian life.

1) Seeking the Lord - We need to seek the Lord with all of our hearts. The Bible tells us those who seek the Lord do not lack any good thing. Seeking the Lord makes our hearts glad and helps our minds to be stayed upon him. The Lord has promised perfect peace for whose mind is stayed upon him.
2) Trusting the Lord – Psalm 40 says blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust. We need to trust the Lord because he is our creator and our Father and that He loves us. He has demonstrated his unconditional love by sending his own son for us. When we understand how much God loves us, then we can trust him with all our hearts. We need to acknowledge him in all our ways and he will direct our paths.
3) Magnifying the Lord - We need to magnify the Lord above all our circumstances and problems. If we magnify the Lord then our problems shrink down to their right perspective. We can magnify the Lord by meditating on his promises, praising him for his blessings and reminding ourselves of all the things he has done for us before. He will deliver us from all our problems.
